MAZDA5 Limited 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 62,000 miles

I paid $!999 for a High Tech Extended Warranty during purchase of my Mazda5 in 2009. Repair of a failed seat track locking mechanism (manual NOT electric) by the Mazda dealer is $1300' (thats right, manual seat). The seat track failure is not covered under this HT extended warranty! This should not have failed at 62,000 miles.

Can't believe Mazda will not repair free or at a more reasonable price!! I will search Pick-N-Pull Parts for 2006-2009 Mazda5 for the (inter-changable ) seat track. If found, the price for the track is $9.99 or $44.99 the track with seat. Mazda Service Department on Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX has been very bad since we bought our car in 2009, based on long waits, unfriendly staff, over pricing, and lack of good communication between mechanics - service reps - and customers. Oh, and pack a lunch is you go for service. Bought my last Mazda!
