Tire: Firehawk GT bl 205/50R16 87V 50K mile tire. Tread separation with only 13,582 miles on the tire. The vehicle was parked when the tire was observed to be flat. Attempts to inflate failed. Removed tire and noticed two places on the inward side where tread was separating - one spot was just over an inch and the other was just under an inch. Full set (4) originally purchased at Firestone complete auto care store, which is where the failed tire was taken the following morning. Tire has since been discontinued and was replaced by a falken ziex 912 bl 205/50R16 87V 40K mile tire. Had other tires inspected for same issues the next day - service representative states the other three tires do not show any signs of the problem. Based on tread depth, warranty covered close to 90% of replacement tire. In the two weeks since, the replacement tire appears to be fine - no observable mis-match issues.

I was driving on 905 West, close to the 805 N exit, and the road was broken. There was a hole on the road and my car's tire exploted when I drove by it. My car's alignment is lost. I almost had an accident because of it. Unfortunately I didn't have a good spare tire so I had to drive to my house with the exploted tire, and since it happened at 10pm I will have to miss work to fix it, and buy a new tire.

The contact owns a 2002 Mazda Protege with Goodyear american Eagle -H tires 205/55/16. The contact stated that while his wife was driving, she noticed a rubbing, thumping sound. She stopped the vehicle and noticed blisters on the side of the rear driver side tire. She installed the spare and when she reached her destination, she noticed 5 to 6 additional blisters on the tire. She notified the tire store where she purchased the tires from and received no assistance. The contact previously spoke with the tire store about installing an H speed rated tire instead of a V speed rated tire and was told that the V rated tire would be fine. They also refused to replace the tires. The current and failure mileages were approximately 131,000.

On January 22, 2008 I brought a Mazda pretege5 year 2002 58,000 miles $ $12,000 from city world 3305 boston road bronx, New York 10469 (718) 655-7000. The sale managers told me this car is excellent for me. "nice, good and everything so I settle for the Mazda pretege5.? however, since I brought the car I find myself going to the used automobile dealer every other day because there a problem with the car. During the week I got to sexually harassed, by sales individual, they were touching me. First, sun roof all of a sudden stops working. Brought it to Toyota service in the bronx. They told me two days later they don't have the budgetary parts. I miss my class that weekend because I didn't have a car to get to class. Secondly, the car was getting over heating all of a sudden. I don't know why, I don't even drive much school and work is 10 minutes away from each other. I brought the car because I have a class at dobbs ferry. Thirdly, today February 05, 2008 the car couldn't start next to my job in nereid avenue, so I called them, they told me to call the towing guy I call them. The towing guy told me my tire is flat. My point is I only brought the car for two weeks now. I only drive for two days only in general. Most of the time they have the car in their possession. I am paying insurance for the car, when I don't even drive it. Why that have to happen to me. I M a student trying to get by in school. I am a single woman all alone trying to survive. I don't have anyone to call to generously help me. Can someone please help me" now the car dealer place refuses to do anything. I told them. I cannot drive the car anymore. They refuse to talk to me. They give me a run around. Please, I can't take this anymore I work at night trying to make a decent living. I presently work with the mentally retarded children, and I do not have to come to the car dealer place every other day, because their something wrong with the car, it just not fair.

The tire was six weeks old and blew up for no reason while driving 60 mph on a highway. Dunlop and tires plus refused to honor a warranty because we could not return the entire tire to them. The tire was blown into 2 inch pieces and all over the highway. Perhaps they are suggesting that we should have risked our lives running around the highway picking up the pieces. I am of the opinion that our lives were put into enough danger due the defective tire dunlop made.

Problems with tire equipment on the 2002 Mazda Protege 5. there was difficulty with placing suitcases or boxes into the trunk of this type of vehicle, the cd player skipped, the transmission displayed a loud clunk noise, there was a spare tire problem, there was a nail in the tire which could not be repaired because it was located too close to the edge of the tire, 50% of tread remained, and there was evidence that the wheel needed to have five holes for bolts (spare wheel), and the brakes had 50% remaining. The consumer requested that a memorandum be sent to all Mazda dealers explaining the problem, ensure that one or two replacement tires should be stocked due to the extreme difficulties in locating the correct information of the tire and wheel.
