At only 40,000 miles the car goes limp when accelerating. Very dangerous. Estimated cost to replace high pressure fuel pump are 1400.

C250 Sport

We have thought this was a good car. In recent months, it's been slow/delayed in starting, and it's slowly gotten worse. Based on the error code(s), our mechanic replaced camshaft sensors (or something like that). Two days later, I experienced the same issue, and the engine light came on again. Regular mechanic and dealership agree it likely is a timing/chain issue that will require replacements and labor totaling $3200.
