Had I not been the type of owner who always addressed any issue with my cars my family and I could have been killed the corrosion was so bad.

I also filed a complaint with the NHTSA on 1/10/2020. Complaint number 11298344.

Beautiful, rust free 2009 c300, [except for the sub-frame]. I can't believe so many people have had the same problem, Mercedes wants all of us to go away. They are producing an unsafe automobile. The metal used on the rear sub-frame is made of inferior, cheap, garbage. I have been involved with antique automobiles that are over 75 years old and have never seen a rotten frame on any of them. My wife and grand children ride in this P.O.S. Paid $2,500 to replace a part that should last the life of the automobile. MB, shame on you, lost all respect for you and your products.

The car was pulling to the left when braking so I brought it to the dealer asking for a wheel alignment. I have been servicing the car there since I bought it new in 2009. The dealer said they opulent do the alignment because the sub frame was broken and the car was no longer safe to drive and I should look into getting another car. I was surprised since I had serviced the vehicle regularly at the dealer. They said the brakes lines were rust also and could begin leaking and I would lose all braking ability.

I brought the car to my mechanic that I used for my other family vehicles for a second opinion and he confirmed the bad news and said the vehicle was unsafe to drive. I also brought it to a body shop thinking maybe it could be welded but he told me the entire subframe was broken and rusted and had to be replaced. He was shocked at the condition since the overall car looked and ran well. He thought this must be some sort of defect and suggested I bring it back to the dealer.

I bought this car brand new from MB and garaged it whenever not in use, so I am very disappointed in what I expected to be a high quality vehicle. I really liked the car but can't see putting the money into making the fix. For subframe and break line replacement the dealer wanted almost $8000.
