C300 C300 V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 26,000 miles

The car is 2016, C300 4 Matic. It has only a little over 26000 miles on it as I drive it very little.

Inside the car smells like fuel when I am driving. And when the car is parked in my garage, the whole garage smells like gas. This doesn't happen every day but it happens often. It is very concerning because I worry about fire in my garage.

I am taking the car to the MB dealership but I was told the diagnostic will cost $299 and if the problem is under warranty I would be covered, but if the problem is something else I must pay for it.

C300 4Matic Sedan

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,000 miles

Turned on heater since it is so cold out, then started smelling gasoline fumes in the cabin of the car. Once I got home, the garage filled up with fumes as well, so the smell is strong both inside and outside of the car. I called dealer to get an appointment but they don't have one available for 2 weeks. I don't know if this is a safety issue to drive, and I also am concerned about the fumes inside the garage now as well.

When I brought the car in for cracked cylinder they never addressed the fuel system problem that I told them about and is covered by recall. They were too busy lying about the cracked cylinder and replying to me telling them they were lying.

There was a strong smell of gas in the cabin . They of course said they had never heard of this and I of course found out it a common problem on the C300 that was recalled internally. Again, they have known for years at Fletcher Jones Motor Cars of Newport Beach about this fuel system problem. They chose to lie to me and chose to ignore it.

C300 Sport 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,010 miles

It has an overwhelming smell of gasoline after I park my car. I honestly feel if I light up a lighter near it, it will blow up. That's how overwhelming the gasoline smell is. I feel my c300 shouldn't have this issue at 45,000 miles, and it is well taken care of.

In January 2021 I received a recall letter and I scheduled an appointment. There was an ice storm in February on the day I had scheduled to come in, and no one answered the phone. Since then I was told that their is no recall for my 2016 C Class Mercedes Benz. Now I am experiencing the gas odor and it is strong. Ironically there was another storm a year later. I will call again today. Tyler Mercedes Benz has been under renovation but I hope to speak with someone today. My health and safety is a concern. When I turn the heater up, the odor gets stronger.

It's really annoying - I wish they would put out a recall for this, especially seeing how multiple owners are experiencing the same issue and problem.
