I had the car services at Mercedes Easton; they replaced the gas hose according to the recall solution; but of course they found ANOTHER gas hose per the mechanic that also has a leak. According to him, it is due to heat which caused the hose to become corroded. I'm not aware that a car has two (2) gas hoses and if it does why would that not be considered within the recall to replace it under the extended warranty. Why would a gas hose on the luxury vehicle be corroded this soon. I have owned several new cars (other makes) way past 4 years and gas hose has NEVER corroded.

Is this a Mercedes problem? Honestly, I believe it was a lie as a way to get people to pay for the (free) recalled gas hose. I have not smelled ANY gas since the recall hose was replaced. They quoted me $322 to replace the "other leaking hose". I'm taking my car to a few local mechanic just to see if there are two gas hoses that exist in my E300.
