The contact owns a 2003 Mercedes-Benz E320. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the sun roof glass detached from the vehicle. An unknown dealer was contacted and the contact was quoted a cost to replace the glass portion of the sun roof. The sun roof glass was replaced by an independent mechanic. The vehicle was repaired however, the sun roof was no longer operable. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000.
