I love my car it runs and rides great. It is a 4-matic E 350 Wagon with all the options. The only problem is that the interior burl wood trim is fading. I understand that a lawsuit was filed about this problem and it showed proof that Mercedes new of the problem (showed up in Tech memos) but did nothing. I think the attorneys are getting like 4.5 million of the settlement. My question is if there is a settlement how do I file a claim? I contact the firm who is handling this but they said I have to be one of their client's which I am not and they are not taking anymore clients on this lawsuit. I just want to know how to get a claim form and who do I send it to? All I want is to have the defective wood replaced. I love the car.

It is ridiculous that Mercedes Benz has not owned this problem. They simply want us to spend a lot of money for a car with problems that should not have occurred! Simply fix the problem and keep a lifelong customer!!!

E350 Burl Walnut Wood

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

I didn't know so many people were having the same problem. My husband has a 2012 Cadillac and his trim still looks new. He was always asking me if there was anything Mercedes could do about this problem. My car still looks good otherwise. Please help me.

E350 Sport 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,195 miles

Purchased a 2014 Mercedes E350 as a Certified Pre Owned from a local Mercedes dealer. Mileage at purchase was LESS THAN 9,000 miles. Purchased an unlimited mileage warranty to extend coverage through 9/2021.

In July of 2020, I noticed that the dark brown wood trim on dash, both front doors and the console had faded to a light gray color and made a visit to selling dealer expecting that the wood trim would be replaced under the extended warranty, especially since this car has spent 90% of its time inside a garage when not being driven. Dealer stated that it wasn't covered and they WOULD BE GLAD TO REPLACE THE TRIM FOR $3600!!

I appealed to the so called "Customer Care" corporate people where I was again informed that they would offer no relief for this problem. This is bull malarkey!!! I did not expect this from Mercedes Benz. This is our fourth MB product and have never been denied repairs for something like this. I NEED THE CAR FIXED!!!
