The contact owns a 2018 Mercedes Benz Glc300. The contact stated that at start-up, the steering ceased with the power steering assist warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to critz Inc Mercedes-Benz of savannah (7000 abercorn St, savannah, ga 31406) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to an unstated software failure. The software was updated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
