Original equipment head lamps are very dim for night time driving. So much so, you need to use high beems more frequently to see. Mercedes does not offer a solution even at additional cost to owners for an upgrade in lighting that is brighter or to add additional fog lamps. Mb requires that you order the vehicle with upgraded lighting package from factory. If you purchase after market products then mb will void your warranty. Apparently its a known issue on all models without optional lighting package, thousands of posts online validate the concern. Mb said they will not offer new product or recall until complaints are made through NHTSA.
