I just realize this is A VERY DANGEROUS CAR!!! We went out to the store. Coming back, almost at home, the “bell” that indicates a message sound. Right away in the same second, in the middle of a curve, the steering got completely stiff and impossible to move!! I was able to stop, but the front wheels hit the curve and got to the sidewalk. Just a minute earlier we were entering our neighborhood, turning in a heavy traffic street full of cars. I cant understand this…… This car has only 40 thousand miles!!

Now it has 2 messages, one say that the keeping line assist is not working, and the other say that there is a malfunction in the steering. Really? What a dangerous system, whatever that system is. We had heavy rain, the road was very wet, but the traffic was slower because of that. This could be a deadly issue. A friend had the same issue and received an email from Mercedes Benz indicating that those cars are not to be driven wet because they have several sensors around !!!!! How is that possible? What kind of answer is that?

The lady helping me at MB is being very helpful, but she is not a mechanic, she does not know the cause. I learned that this car does not have an hydraulic steering system, but an electrical one. Evidently this is very dangerous!!!
