This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Mercedes-Benz dealer.
The electric sliding door would not close. Once your vehicle is loaded with this feature, you can never use manual force to close the door, thanks to German engineering. Dashboard will tell you there are obstructions, but there are none.
Another vehicle I know had electric sliding motor issue. The motor was just gone.
