: the contact stated when the vehicle was taken in for maintenance to replace a vapor management valve, the service dealer noted that both upper and lower ball joints were worn. There were no immediate repairs made to the ball joints.

While driving the consumers wife loss control of the steering wheel and hit the rails on both sides. The vehicle headed into a ditch on the left side, the consumer yanked the wheel to send the vehicle straight but instead the went across two lanes and slammed into the median. The dealer was notified. The air bags did not deploy. At the time of the accident, the consumer was working the electronic passenger seat controls and the consumer wanted to know if there was any connection. The mechanic claimed the ball joint failure caused the accident, the ball joint had no grease.
