: the contact stated there was a strong smell of gasoline fumes in the vehicle. A NHTSA recall letter, #06E056000, regarding fuel system, gasoline was received by the contact. The dealer was alerted and refused to perform the recall remedy. The dealership recommended that the manufacturer should be contacted. The vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN. The consumer requested reimbursement for loss of gas. Updated 09/05/06.
