Mariner Premier 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,126 miles

Each morning when I would start my vehicle the engine would tick. As I drove away slowly it got louder. It got so annoying I would turn the radio up just so I didn't have to hear it. Finally I took it back to Mercury and after 4 days they said the adjusted a few things and it should be fine. I went out and started it up and it still ticked. I gave the car back. They called me.5 times telling me they were stumped as to what was causing it. 2 1/2 weeks later they gave me the car back with a 3 page list of things they went through. They claimed something about the cam shaft being messed up. I dont know what the problem really was. They seemed to just keep replacing things until it fixed the problem. They had to completely pull the engine out of the vehicle. Thank goodness this was covered under warranty.
