How do you go from a flashing overdrive light directly to needing a complete transmission replacement? What is even more frustrating is we purchased the vehicle with the powertrain warranty wS 100k miles. Oh, sorry ma'am we have no record of that. How the hell can that be? Oh wait, Mercury doesn't exist any longer. At 82k miles it is absurd to need a new transmission. What happened to things lasting or better yet, reasonable repair costs?!
