Cooper Countryman

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,000 miles

Total transmission failure - car just died at a busy intersection. I towed to my indy mechanic who diagnosed total, unrepairable trans failure. Unthinkable on a car with only 54,000 miles, that I bought new in 2014 and drive like an old lady going to church on Sundays. Had it then towed to my local Mini dealer and after a lot of back and forth, Mini USA will split the cost with me- $4389.00. Still NOT happy. This is unacceptable - any ideas out there? They also offered to buy it back, or trade it in, but I've lost all confidence in the brand.
