I was told that my water pump is leaking when I went in for regular service. Later I received letter informing me about class action settlement. Still waiting on the refund from settlement.

Mini wanted over $600 to change out the water pump, a $100 part. I had a local mechanic change it for about $450, but it is almost impossible to get to, and two of the bolts holding it in were seized and had to be extracted over a longer period of time. I had the serpentine belt changed out at the same time, since it had to be taken off to change the water pump. That added about $70 to the cost of the repair.
