There was a previous recall on the anti braking system. Prior to the recall I had noticed that the ABS light was always coming on & I also noticed the brakes were at times seemed to be grabbing metal & not working. I took the car in to get fixed with the recall notice. Everything was fine until now the ABS light has been coming on frequently again & it is doing the same exact thing when braking. It seems when the light is off & the brakes start to not work properly then the light comes on & they do work. I never know when this is going to happen when the brakes fail. There is no loss of brake fluid. The recall repair was done at Ricart in Columbus Ohio. The problem was confirmed by the recall that this was faulty.

I received a recall notice in July that the brakes could fail if the ABS is activated. Mitsubishi referred me to a dealer (the only dealer in Nevada). The dealer said they can't make any repairs, because they don't have the parts to fix the car. So, I called Mitsubishi, and they said there is no repair solution available. So I requested a loaner, since my car is not safe to drive. They told me they don't supply loaners, and that I should continue driving the car unless the brakes fail. Unbelievable! two months later, the brakes failed after ABS system was activated in the rain and I slid through an intersection almost causing a major accident on a city street at 45mph after trying to stop using the emergency brake. The dealer wants to charge me for the tow (because the vehicle is disabled) and for storage (because they allegedly don't have parts to do the repair). Mitsubishi offered no help whatsoever. They referred me back to the dealer, and the dealer claims they can't make the repair. I told Mitsubishi about my previous experience, and they were no help at all. They said they aren't authorized to make any decisions, and that only the dealership can opt to tow/repair the car or supply a loaner. So now my car sits in the parking lot, broken down with no brakes, with a recall notice in the passenger seat. They want me to tow the car 45 miles out of my own pocket, or drive the car with no brakes. Then they expect me to pay for the loaner. And they expect me to pay for storage while the car sits on their lot waiting for Mitsubishi to come up with a repair solution. Unbelievable.
