The contact owns a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The contact received a recall notice regarding the fuel system, gasoline:storage:tank assembly:filler pipe and cap (10V065000). The recall notice stated that it would take an hour and thirty minutes to repair the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that the repair would take up to 6 hours to complete and possibly into the next day. The contact stated that the manufacturer was misinforming customers in the recall notice. The failure mileage was 38,684.

The contact owns a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The contact was filling his fuel tank when he noticed a leak. The contact took the vehicle to a local mechanic who repaired the fuel tank because it was corroded. The contact smelled fuel inside the vehicle after the repair and the check engine light illuminated the next day. He took the vehicle back to the repair shop where he was informed that there was a leak in the filler pipe. He then called the manufacturer but was told that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The current mileage was approximately 95,000. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.
