Endeavor

  • 99,437 miles
The contact owns a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The contact stated that the gear shift would lock in the park position but the indicator would show that it was in the reverse gear. The vehicle also rolled backward when not locked properly in park. The key could also be removed from the ignition. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that a cable in the shift column needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the vehicle was not included in recall 05V069000 (parking brake). The manufacturer had not been notified. The failure mileage was 99,437.

I am the original owner of a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor with a few complains. Rear window regulator came apart, rear third brake light cracked in half while sitting in the sun, and now it is sitting at the dealership with transmission problem. At 20 mph the vehicle starts shaking the front end like a bad tire. I replace the tires and the cv shafts with no relieve. Took it to the dealer and no fighting with them. They want to charge me to flush the fluid before the do any warranty work. Because I don't have maintenance records they are not wanting to help even though I have a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty. I am in a rental waiting another day for a Mitsubishi rep to call. Did I mention I am a ase master tech.

I own a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor and the only owner. On Friday, 06/10/06 the car broke, I put it in driving and the truck went (2 times) reversed. I almost hit a car behind me. I called Mitsubishi dealer, and that is when the night mare started. It took over 15 phone calls to get my truck towing to the dealer. They request maintenance records and still are refusing to fixed my car. My car has 62,600 miles under the extended warranty is cover the power train up to 100,000 miles. Today is being 9 days since the incident. I also have an extended warranty, that will not pay for the repairs since is supposed to be cover by Mitsubishi. The dealer, crown Mitsubishi in St petersburg, Florida is refusing to tell me who is the contact person in Mitsubishi who supposed to approve my repairs. My car is only 2 1/2 years old. I had records of continues maintenance 17 of them. They are giving me the run around since, this started.

Transmission -- a high pitch whining noise verified by dealer as coming from the transmission. Mitsubishi customer relations adjudication, direct from management, is that the "noise is normal". this is a blatant insult to my intelligence.

The consumer had to take the vehicle into the dealer because none of the windows would roll down, and the doors would not lock or unlock from the driver side remote button. A whining noise was heard in the transmission. Windshield wiper blades would not turn off. Warning light in the dash continues to come on.
