The contact owns a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant. The contact stated that there was a leak in the fuel tank. He parked his vehicle in the garage and smelled a strong odor of gasoline the following day. He took the vehicle to a repair shop and the mechanic found a leak. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 01V069000. The specialist at the repair shop stated that the entire fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. The current mileage was 95,353 and failure mileage was approximately 95,300.
