Soon after I paid off my 2004 Mitsubishi Galant I noticed that the paint was oxidizing so I took it to a Mitsubishi dealership and they repainted it for me. It has been about 7 months since the paint job and the paint is oxidizing again. I have seen other black Galants around which have had the same issue, what can be done about this?

Since purchasing this 2004 Galant ES in June of 2005, I have been shocked too numerous times to count. It does not happen when you are initially opening the door to get into the car, only after you have already been inside. This has been occurring continually since day of purchase. At first, I though it might be just me carrying around static electricity, but it happens to everyone on any door of the vehicle. It is rather painful at times as the spark is clearly visible, even during the day. I haven't a clue what could cause this, and plan on mentioning it to the dealership at this oil change.
