The contact owns a 2009 Nissan 370Z. The contact stated that he was unable to start the vehicle. Also, the contact mentioned that whenever he depressed the clutch, it failed to release preventing him from properly shifting gears. The vehicle was taken to dealer. The technician diagnosed that the steering lock failed and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 59,000 and the current mileage was 60,000....updated 04-03-13 the consumer stated the csc failure is the cause for this report. Rendering the clutch useless and unable to switch gears. The consumer stated the original complaint was for the steering lock failure but that issue has been recalled. Updated 04/19/2013
