problem #2

Jun 012018

370Z CV V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 55,000 miles

My Z has had the clutch sticking to the floor for over a year now. I have upgraded the clutch fluid to a DOT4. I have bled the system numerous times. Nothing works for longer than 2-3 weeks. I end up bleeding the clutch fluid every couple of weeks, so that the vehicle can be driven.

Even while doing that, the clutch still fails at intersections. I have to lift it up with my foot and pump it numerous times until it engages. While driving on the highway, it is almost impossible to shift gears after several miles. I have to pop it out of gear using my hand and then pump the clutch various times so that it is usable again.

370Z

  • Manual transmission
  • 32,000 miles

clutch sticks to the floor after driving for about 15 min. sometimes it gets soft and spongy, pressure seems to leave. I have heard it is a slave cylinder problem and is common with 370z cars and should be recalled.
