problem #1

Nov 032008

Altima 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 112,000 miles

Spring that wraps around shock absorber (1/2" thick metal coil) has snapped at the top of the coil where it meets the retaining plate. Just discovered this last night and I'm in the process of finding out what it will cost to fix, and if Nissan has had a serious amount of recurrence with this problem.
