Altima SL 2.5L

Altima SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 128,692 miles

The car is getting about 9.5 mpg and now the idling is fluctuating from 300-900 rpms seemingly trying to cut off. I now am having to change all of the gaskets and the oxygen sensors since the check engine light came on seemingly in unison. I am not giving up on Nissan yet though!

problem #2

Altima LX 1.6L

  • Manual transmission
  • 90,099 miles

Its actually a Nissan Almera which is not listed on this site.

1. When I turn the key to start, nothing happens. I have to put my foot on the accelerator to start the vehicle.

2. On most occasions when the car starts the revs go up to 3500 rpm then comes down to 2000rpm and starts to automatically constantly fluctuate between 2000 and 3000 rpm. This can go on for over an hour of driving which makes driving in traffic terrible. When in neutral, it continues to do this. I was told it is a faulty MAF sensor which I replaced but the problem still persists.

Altima 2.5 S 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 61,000 miles

Since I bought the car it's been having idling problems. Mechanics say it's the mount but I feel it's been long before that. I change the spark plugs and crank sensor and it did a big improvement but still has issues.
