problem #2

May 162014

Altima SL 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 93,206 miles

There should be a recall for this. The nissan pathfinders (older models) have a recall due to rust in the front wheel wells compromising the structural integrity... Having a floor rust through is not only dangerous, someone could hurt themselves putting their leg through the floor. But the structural integrity is affected in a collision.

Many documented cases of this can be found online and nissan is just turning a blind eye. Unfortunately it takes someone getting seriously hurt before manufacturers stand behind their product.

Very poor for a car less than 8 years old to rot out like this...

(reported on)

Altima SE-R V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,000 miles

After 2000+ miles, water dripped into cabin from top of left windshield pillar, then from sunroof control box windshield pillar. Car has been in Nissa service 4 times. Three time no problem was found, 4th time defective pillar drain tube was replaced under warranty. Recently water dripped from right pillar. No problem was found by service. I then ran a garden hose on roof, and after 15 minutes I recreated the leak. Car is now in Nissan service for 5th attempt to correct the leaking roof.
