Altima 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 17,398 miles

I was shocked on the poor design, the rear brakes not only failed they where ceased in the rear. I called the dealer and they say the brakes need to serviced every 15,000km or once every two years min. Is this a defective design or what. all my other cars has no issue. Nissan face up to the issue and deal with this problem. Honda or I will try GM again.

Altima S 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 29,050 miles

The REAR brake pads and rotors had to be replaced for wear while the fronts were still fine. Explanation - "In our areas (the North East Salt Belt) you should bring your car in once or twice a year to have them cleaned and lubed to avoid this problem." Huh? Sounds more like a design / materials issue to me!
