problem #1

Feb 142015

Altima S 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 80,000 miles

I had the problem starting 02/14/15. Car would cut off while driving, car would not cut on when push to start was pressed or car would not cut off when ignition button was pressed. Dealership could not figure out the problem. In March I tried going back to the dealership for same problem. Dealership stated my petal switch was not working and needed to be replaced to fix the problem. I followed their instruction and replaced it. A week later, my car shut off on a main road. Dealership could figure out the issue. It is now September 2015. Car shut off on highway 3 times. Took it back to same dealership. They finally said it was stated I have a failed steering coloum. It would cost $1200 for parts and labor. It took a week in a half for service to fix replace the part.
