My 2010 Nissan Altima with 76,000 miles is using about a quart of oil between oil changes. I called the dealer, since my car is covered under an extended warranty, and he told me that oil consumption of up to a quart every 1,000 miles is considered acceptable. (For comparison, I have a 1999 Toyota Avalon with 215,000 miles that uses less oil and a 1999 Crown Vic with 86,000 miles that uses less oil.)
