The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Armada. The contact noticed a lot of smoke inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle a day after it had been parked. He also stated that the roof, plastic, dashboard, and seats were damaged and blackened. The security at the hotel he was at called the fire department. An investigator stated that the fire was caused by a manufacturer's defect in the wires. The insurance company declared that the interior was totally damaged. A security report was filed. The manufacturer stated that someone would come out to inspect the vehicle, but he was never called back. The current and failure mileages were approximately 8,600. Updated 07/31/08. Armada

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Armada. The contact noticed that both tail lights were inoperative. The dealer stated that the condenser fan failed and caused the wiring harness to overheat and melt. The dealer will replace the fan and wiring harness. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was out of warranty; therefore, they will not assist with the repair costs. The contact feels that this is a manufacturing defect and Nissan should assist with the $1,618 repair cost. The current and failure mileages were 44,100.
