Engine stalls. While driving, the vehicle stalls. This continues to occur when coasting, acellerating or braking and causes danger as I was unable to safely pull over from the left and middle lane of traffic, or on the freeway. Occurs while driving straight. Research shows a faulty ECM with silicone dioxide build up on the ECM sensor contact inside the ipdm. Found : https://www.cars.com/recalls/Nissan-Armada-2006/ though no recall found on current search. Recal 10V517000 but can no longer find it on NHTSA search site.

"takata recall" so I have a 2006 Nissan Armada that just recently had the exhaust manifold change out for crack manifold and it hasnt been a year yet and already have another crack manifold. Nissan really need fix this issue because no one has that kinda of money to be buying new exhaust manifold every year for emission.

My husband and I were driving back home and our Nissan Armada breaks failed. Senor lights flash on and off all the time. Clicking sound when driving parked etc. Horrible sound from under vehicle, as I'm driving. Steering wheel shakes even after a wheel alignment. City streets and highway. I have taken the car to Nissan and they just brush it off and say there is nothing wrong with the car take it for a long drive.

In addition, the gear shifter was placed in the drive position, but the vehicle rolled backwards. The vehicle had to be restarted in order for the failure to cease. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 115,000.

We purchased our car used with 53,000 miles on it. Upon reaching 60,000 miles we heard some knocking and periodically smelled exhaust in the cabin while driving. We took it to the dealership for diagnosis and was told that both exhaust manifolds were cracked and needed replaced. We were also told that Nissan did extend the warranty for this issue on some 2006 Armadas to 80,000 miles, however the time period had been too long for our car to be covered. I contact Nissan Consumer Affairs directly and was told that there was nothing that they could help us with, and were not even willing to tell me if this is a known issue with this year and model of vehicle. I have seen several complaints from other consumers with the same year and model online, and it appears there have not been enough issues yet for Nissan to take any really responsibility.

I had my mom, aunt and 2 small kids in the truck we were on the way to drop my mom off at her home. Once I pulled up in front of her house we noticed the truck smoking. I got out of the vehicle and looked under the hood. I observed wires burning from that point I closed the hood so that the vehicle could cool off. I then walked my mom to her front door as I walked back to my vehicle I observed my truck on fire. I immediately rushed to the vehicle and got my kids and aunt out of the vehicle. The fire department was called and responded within 7 minutes. By the time the fire department responded my truck was in full flames.
