I think Nissan dealer suppose to fix the brake booster problem right away it to pricing to come out our pocket or let government make to fix before any accident or dead. I check for leak or loose hose n replace new brake pads and still same problem. I even replace the check valve on the booster and nothing. and to reprogram the abs module is expensive I try to reset the abs with interface scanner and still have same problem

emergency brake light randomly comes on, brake malfunction

While driving approx. 30 MPH down city street in morning traffic, the emergency brake light randomly comes on and when I try to brake the car make a grinding noise and I do not have full braking power. When you turn the car off it resets and the car resumes to functioning normally. Local mechanic tested once, got no codes so replaced master cylinder...$500+ job. A week later the same thing happens again; took it back but this time get a code C1179-Brake Booster....a $900+ job. I refuse to pay this kind of money when research show that this did not resolve the issue. Wrote to Nissan but got no reply. Conducted a search and found that hundreds of people are having the same issue.
