problem #2

Frontier LX 3.2L

  • CVT transmission
  • 79,130 miles

Under dash clicking occurs each time vehicle is started. It lasts about 8 sec. then stops. Dealer found the recirc/fresh air door actuator motor faulty. Requires dash removal to repair at a cost of $631 ($575 labor to replace a $56 part). Since all air flow vents remain functional, I will live with a little noise! I believe this is a result of poor design and Nissan should work toward a more accessible repair.

Update from May 20, 2015: If the recirc button is activated, there is no clicking noise, but it returns as soon as it is turn off to allow fresh air intake.

Frontier Nismo V6

There is a clicking noise coming from under the dash. It's only 3 years old & has mainly interstate miles on it. I know it's gonna be a price issue when it comes to getting it fixed & want everyone to know they don't make vehicles like they used to!!!!! I have had several other issues with this truck & they all happened within 200 miles out of warranty.

I will NOT ever buy another Nissan & would not ever recommend anyone I know to buy one either!!!!!
