problem #2

Frontier LE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 109,000 miles

When I first found out about this manufacturing defect, I brought it to Nissan of Keene nh and asked them to fix the part that was defective, they told me they looked at the radiator and it seemed fine. I suggested to them to fix it before there is a problem, they told me that I did not need to fix it until it failed. Now, two years later and 50 thousand miles more on the vehicle bringing it to 109000 miles, the radiator failed and ruined my transmission. They told me that I have to pay $5900 to fix it. I'm still within the extended warranty but over in mileage by 9000 miles. If Nissan would have replaced their cheap recalled radiator to begin with, which costs $100, this would have been avoided completely. They should have recalled that defective part, as soon as they figured it out. Secondly, a judge should have ordered them to fix it. That's what a recall is, right? I am so frustrated with Nissan and after years of loyalty to them, I'm done. They are thieves and do not care about customer loyalty, or safety. Something needs to be done about this problem. I'm out of a vehicle, that I have only owned for 4 years. Nissan laughs at the situation and try to sell me another one.

MY WIFE AND I BOTH OWN NISSAN VEHICLES. SHE HAS A 2005 PATHFINDER AND I OWN A 2009 FRONTIER. WE HAD TO REPLACE HER TRANSMISSION 2 YEARS AGO AND NOW THE FRONTIER NEEDS ONE ALSO. I RESEARCHED AND FOUND THAT THIS IS AN ON GOING PROBLEM WITH NISSANS. WE HAVE BEEN LOYAL NISSAN CUSTOMERS AND ARE FRUSTRATED TO KNOW THAT NISSAN IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT IS ONLY PROVIDING MINIMAL IF NO HELP AT ALL.
