The brakes started squealing at approximately 7000miles and when I took the car to the Nissan garage they said that the brakes were squealling due to an accumulation of dust and grit and they said that they were going to clean the brakes and whatever else but I had to pay £45 ($65) approximate. After the procedure, I was advised to have the car cleaned more frequently to avoid this accumulation of dirt which then causes the breaks to squeal. I was also given a flyer to that effect. About a month later exactly the same problem started again and I have been taking the car to the car wash often but the breaks still squeal extremely annoyingly and twice I have contacted Nissan but to no avail.
