The contact owns a 2012 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that the sunroof shattered without impact while driving. The contact stated that the front passenger sustained injuries to the head due to the glass falling however medical attention was not required. The contact called fred haas Nissan (24202 tomball pkwy, tomball, tx 77375) and informed them of the failure. The dealer stated that they W0uld not service the vehicle because it was not included in a recall and also would not honor the extended warranty for the repair. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 47,660.
