Front rotors have warped but Nissan does not cover this in the warranty. Claims this is not a defect in material or workmanship.

Purchased extended warranty but still no coverage.

Is this a flaw in the discs or the material used?

Nissan has in its warranty that this is NOT covered. It seems a number of manufacturers are having this problem. Why is it not covered by warranty, when it seems to be a fault with the metal and or the discs.
