problem #1

Dec 042015

Maxima S V6

  • CVT transmission
  • 2,006 miles

he steering wheel started making a grinding and squealing noise but would go away after driving. The problem did not occur at all times but there was definitely a problem. The service tech explained that the power steering would make this noise and that it was normal. I mentioned to the service tech that it did not make the noise for the first 2000 miles, but now I have a problem and you say it is normal. I don't think so!

Very disappointed in this car. The transmission cvt also started stuttering and jerking and this was also normal or so the tech said. The Bluetooth also would not connect and I was told again by the service tech that only certain phones work with this car. Really.

So disappointed in this car I traded it for another model same color but the second car has had issues with the cvt also jerking and the trunk started to leak. The molding came off around the passenger door. The front end had an issue with the front brake needless to say I am thoroughly disgusted with the Nissan Maxima. I really wanted to drive this car the the next 7 years of my life but I can't get past 2000 miles on either vehicle. I do not recommend this vehicle. Nissan has dropped the ball on this one. I lost a ton of money on those two Nissan Maximas.
