Murano

  • CVT transmission
  • 70,000 miles

My car started to have problems when I'd push down the gas, It would just sit there then all of the sudden seem to go in gear. It got worse and worse and would take longer and longer to speed up or go. Not only was it extremely dangerous (especially making left hand turns) but I had a 16 year old driver at the time, and we were sharing that car. Besides the obvious challenges of driving a car that wouldn't go half the time it would randomly quit due to the transmission issues, so she would be stuck in random locations and had to wait for a long amount of time because she was in my car, so i couldn't go pick her up! On top of that she had to face the road rage of other drivers because it wouldn't speed up fast enough, but it was our only mode of transportation so we had no option. Being a single mother it was very hard to pay for the new transmission and I was shocked when I found out it would cost me $6,000 dollars! I had to use my daughters college fund to pay for the repairs.
