Vehicle will drive normally. Without any warnings the vehicle will quickly slow down to 10 - 15 mph. The engine remains running at approx. 3K rpms but with very few, if any, power transferred to the transmission. The check engine light does not illuminate and if the vehicle is shut off and re-started; the condition clears.

- the contact states that on 12/20/06 around 10:00 am the contact drove her 2004 Nissan Murano out of her driveway and proceeded to drive down an alley at about 2 mph. After making a left hand turn onto the main road of a residential area, the vehicle accelerated to about 50 mph without the contact touching the accelerator. The contact tried continuously applying the brakes, but vehicle never came to a stop. The contact states that the brakes went down to the floor. She had a hard time steering the vehicle while trying to get vehicle to come to a stop. The contact then hit a parked flat bed trailer, and the front tires of her vehicle drove up on the flat bed and the vehicle the rolled over on its side landing on the passenger side. The contact was dazed and witnesses climbed up onto the vehicle to get her out. The contact states there was fuel leaking from the vehicle, and once out of vehicle she and witnesses notice that the wheels of the vehicle continued turning at a high rate while on it side. The contact states that one of the witnesses climbed onto the vehicle and shut the ignition off but couldn't get key out of ignition. The police was called and a report filed and pictures were taken. The contact has called the Nissan corporation and filed a complaint and was given #557-22135 as a reference number.
