Purchased New-2005 NISSAN MURANO for supposed great Japanese Product Quality. MAJOR PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED: 0-1k mi: Engine Light On (bad gas cap) / Front seat frame broke (bad weld) / Recall-no gas tank shield / Rear wiper blades torn. 1-50k mi: Driver-side sun visor pivot broke / Front driver-side door lock housing broke / Front-auto seat control stopped working. 50-100k mi: AWD light stayed on permanently (loose wire) / Fractured gears in front transfer case (supposedly driver AWD-error) / Oil pan gasket leak / Loose tie rods / Leaking CV joints seals. 100-150k mi: Oil cooler o-ring leak / Worn rear stabilizer links / Loose ball joint, sockets, bushings on front control arms / Loose tie rods again.

Worse-found similar forum complaints on problematic ELO-gas cap / broken seat frame / broken visor / broken door handle / failed transfer case.

I have no plans to ever purchase a Nissan.
