problem #2

Mar 052012

Murano SE 3.5L V6

  • CVT transmission
  • 52,817 miles

The transfer case leaks which causes serious wear.

talked to my technician, get an answer that the transfer case is not made with good quality and will break just like mine when the time comes. seems to be a design problem.

problem #1

Mar 032011

Murano SE 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 52,000 miles

Talked with dealer and customer care. Surprise, no accountability. Hundreds if not more have had this problem, cvt already recalled, not transfer case. Nissan also extended coverage for an additional 60,000 on transmission but wont stand behind transfer case failure because of. Transfer case also had a known design flaw they went uncorrected.. Already a SB issued to Nissan service, still won't do anything. Have initiated the starting a class action suit this morning with a Class Action Attorney. I will add any new info for those interested as received.

Update from Mar 16, 2011: Here is a ph. # I got from the State Attorney Generals office to the Manager of Dispute Resolution at Corporate Nissan 1-800-547-7261.
