The metal device that is responsible for moving the driver seat and positioning it wears out rather quickly. The metal was not forged correctly and after several adjustments to the driver seat, it breaks. So don't re-order a market part to replace it or it will happen again. Have to order after market and then have it soldered in place.

It averages around $750 to replace the hinge. Nissan has known of this issue with 2003 through 2008 but they don't offer a recall for it. I think that is ridiculous. Once it breaks, you can put the chair in the lowest position, and never move it to get a ride without sitting lopsided.
