Murano SL 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 98,400 miles

Avoided Nip vehicles for years because of incident 1941 thru 1945. Finally because I wanted a reliable, inexpensive car for my daughter I purchased a used 2007 Murano at an auction from GE Acceptance. Nice vehicle, probably a "program" vehicle I thought. It only had one key. I always try to have a spare. I know better than to buy anything from a franchise dealer after being in the auto parts business for 30 years. A new chip key at a independent lock smith is around $50 plus $45 for programing. If I want a OE style remote another $120 plus $30 for programing. Feeling this to be high priced and under standing manufacturing costs I ckecked the Nissan dealer and found the price to be ove $330 for a couple items that cost less than $7 to make. ! How did these folks get a reputation for reliability? How did these folks get a reputation for providing inexpensive cars? Why do people continue purchasing this junk?
