Electrical or some switch has failed and the rear liftgate cannot be opened from outside the car. Dealership quoted us almost $300 to fix it (I think, it was definitely enough to make me wtf) saying they had to replace components in both the passenger side door(s) and the gate itself. ? This has not been fixed, it is on the ever growing to-do list for this vehicle.

Now we have to climb thru the rear compartment and open the gate using a hole and tiny little switch that you usually cannot find or see. Especially fun is when you load up the back with luggage and other large items not realizing you now cannot access the emergency switch because there's a bunch of luggage in the way. :) Luckily the rear seats fold down.
