Murano SL 3.6L

  • CVT transmission
  • 80,000 miles

When my wife told me that the pedal was "Soft", I thought maybe it was a little low on fluid or the pads were wearing out, but after I drove it and the pedal went completely to the floor before it even started slowing down, we immediately took it to the mechanic. He replaced the master cylinder 2 times to make sure that was not the issue and then he broke the news - it is a 2500.00 repair.

I find it a bit ridiculous that it is a known issue and Nissan is just now trying to work on the 2009 models and, since mine is one year newer with the same issue, I get to fork out 2500 bucks to fix a car that is barely worth that much to begin with. My wife was a life long Nissan owner but now has decided that is the last Nissan vehicle she ever buy again. We have sunk more money into this vehicle that it was worth brand new.

I dumped 3000 into this piece over the last year and now the brakes are crap, the CV joints are popping - and let's not even start on all the electrical issues with the interior items. Door locks, windows, dash lights..... if you have a 2010 Yugo Murano, put it out of its misery and just take it to the crusher. Maybe they can recycle it into a decent vehicle.
