Apparently this year was a new year. Had to get from dealer, not available regular retail

I heard an awful noise under the bonnet and feared the worst.
Turned out the bearing in the front of the alternator that acts like a clutch, had lost two thirds of the ball bearings that it spins on.
The cost of refurbishing the unit was far more than replacement so I now have a new alternator.
