I changed spark plugs, injectors, fuel pump, crank sensor, cam sensor, intake w/ gasket, throttle body, o2 sensors, disconnect the cats and still have same problem. A po300 code - the car won't pass 40 mph. I don’t know what else to do. Can anyone HELP, PLEASE?!

Pathfinder S V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

Nissan has known about this problem for over 11 years now. My Pathfinder would just automatic shift on me while driving on the highway. I took it to it to an auto shop and they told me my truck was like the 5th truck to come in with this problem. It was a known issue with 2005 - 2007 Nissan Pathfinders.

My husband bought me the truck without doing research on Nissan's, I normally do this before I purchased anything. But it seems that the Dealership and Nissan should be held accountable. The vehicles should have been sold before verifying the issue was resolved. Now, I am stuck with an expensive ( approx. $4500) fix. If I take it to dealership to fix, I'm looking at $6000.

I loved the truck until this, I will never buy another Nissan. Unfortunately its just sitting in the garage, my husband had a stroke, then recently diagnosed with colon cancer, my son started college and I have a 15 yr old daughter preparing for college. All the finances are left to me and I'm struggling. I really need the PATHFINDER FIX ON NISSAN EXPENSE. UPSET NISSAN PATHFINDER 2006 OWNER.

Pathfinder SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,250 miles

SINCE 2014, WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARED COMING ON, I FIRST TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND PAID $200.00 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE OUTCOME, I HAD TO REPLACE MY CRANKSHAFT AND CAMSHAFT. THE DEALER WANTED TO CHARGE ME $2500.00. SPOKE TO THE PART'S GUY, HE TOLD ME WHAT TO DO. I BROUGHT THE PARTS AND HAD IT REPAIRED LESS THAN $200.00. IT'S STRANGE AFTER YOU'VE PAID VEHICLE OFF, THE DEALER STILL WANTS TO RIP YOU OFF.
